Location-based riddles will show you the way to our favourite local places, including: cheesemongers, candlemakers, quiet courtyards, and cute hidden spots we’ll keep secret… for now! Fun fact: this trail was created by our co-founders, Kristina and Wendy.

This playful walk across Haarlem’s city centre sharpens your senses and encourages you to appreciate the most wonderful – and often hidden – details around you. Whether you know the city or just start exploring here, this experience gives you a perspective on discovery that will inspire your curiosity wherever you go next.

16 riddles.
1 -2 hours. 1 – 2 km.

Start on Grote Markt, in front of the church’s entrance, at number 22.
End near the start location, behind the church on Grote Markt.

Local wonders you’ll discover on this walk include:
The small art of the “big” market Square, Grote Markt.
Proveniershof – a gorgeous green courtyard.
The stunning Omvalspoort.
The most charming shopping streets (great for independent stores!) such as Koningstraat and Kleine Houtstraat.
