Want to experience what the Jordaan neighbourhood is all about? On this discovery walk, you’ll follow in the footsteps of Secret City Trails co-founders, Kristina & Wendy. The fun riddles they created will send you exploring fascinating locations and learning about them along the way. From comedy to mini-sandwiches, secret speakeasy bars and the best apple pie, Jordaan’s local wonders will stay in your memory for a long time. And you may learn a new thing or two about Rembrandt, Anne Frank, and Dutch customs.

 

This playful walk across Amsterdam’s picturesque neighbourhoods sharpens your senses and encourages you to appreciate the most wonderful – and often hidden – details around you. Whether you know Amsterdam or just start exploring here, this experience gives you a perspective on discovery that will inspire your curiosity wherever you go next.

13 riddles.
1,5 – 3 hours. 2 – 3 km.

Start on Johnny Jordaanplein, at the intersection of Elandsgracht and Prinsengracht.
End on Haarlemmerstraat. From here it’s a 15-minute walk back to the start.

Local wonders you’ll discover on this walk include:
Westerkerk and Anne Frank’s former hiding place.
Noordermarkt (great flea market on Mon & Sat).
Typical Amsterdam canal houses (real-life size and miniature!).

Play 7 days a week, during daylight hours.
