Are you a planner or will you make it come as it goes? At Secret City Trails, we do a bit of both when visiting a city. There is some planning to make sure we get a clear list of things we want to see during our stay. Tickets for the highlights we won’t miss we will buy some time ahead. That restaurant-you-shouldn’t-miss is booked as soon as we’ve heard from it. But we also love to leave some free time in our schedule. To stroll around, to enter that shop that really looks great or to just spend some hours in the park reading a book and absorbing the vibes of the city we are in.
However, sometimes we feel we like to dive a little further in the city’s stories, discover unknown details or find out about the lesser known areas of the city. And that’s where our city discovery walks come in!
City games as a last minute solution
Our city games have all been created by locals. Each of the trails show you both highlights as well as hidden gems of the city you are visiting. On our website you can find the list of all the trails we have created. Select the city and the trail you like to play, then go to the checkout and pay. Within minutes you will receive an email. This contains both the play link as well as the practical information about the starting point, the number of riddles (usually between 9 and 16) and the length of the city game.
Once you are ready to start playing, just click on the start-button. Then read the first story and follow the cryptical description that brings you to the first question. Yes, it is as easy as it sounds!
If you are a competitive person, then make sure to beat the clock and try to solve the riddles as soon as possible. But don’t worry if you want to take it easy, you can also take as many breaks as you like and just enjoy wandering the city in a different way.
